Many of you may not know what Pownce is. Pownce allows you to send messages, files, links, and events to your friends. Create a network of friends and share stuff. It’s free and easy… Jim Louderback, CEO of Revision3 said this in a PCMagazine article called: My Guide to Social networks: Pownce: I remember when I first heard about the Candy Shop. Tucked behind a real candy store in New York’s SoHo, it opened around 4 a.m. and closed sometime after sunrise. It was tiny, tawdry, and very exclusive. But if you were... [Read the full story]

Written by Brian Davis: Myspace did a great job with this app. They have taken the heart and soul of myspace and made it quick and convenient. From the home screen you can control all the aspects of your profile with just a few taps. This app works best on wifi or 3G but have found that even on Edge it is still pretty fast. At the home screen you have quite a few choices. You have My Profile, Friend Status and Moods, Friends Update, Comments, Bulletins, Search People and Settings. It’s great to see how well planned... Written by Brian Davis: Remote is an app for controlling iTunes from your iPhone. This is an app I use daily. I have a one year old and we love to listen to music while we play around the house. My PC is located in my living room and my sons play room is around the corner in the second living room so this little app has saved me. With the ability to pause, play and skip through tracks you can make sure you hear your favorite song as many times as you need. You also have control of your entire iTunes library in the palm... Written by Brian Davis: As Jared mentioned in his review he is using twitterrific premium. I personally haven’t used twitterrific before this app because I am on a windows based machine so I am using the free version. With that said now that I have been using twitterrific for awhile now I will be upgrading to the premium not because there are any huge differences between the two but because they deserve some monetary compensation for the great app they have developed. So far there are only a few slight differences... [Read the full story]

Shout It is a cool little iPhone app that helps you get your message across the room when it’s to loud to shout. Simply type in your message and Shout It will Shout your message in large text across your screen. Update: In my review I gave a negative mark due to the truncated messages. According to a message I received from the developers, an update is on the way which will allow for unlimited message length. AWESOME! a2a_linkname="Shout It iPhone App Review"; a2a_linkurl="http://iphoneapppodcast.com/shout-it-iphone-app-review"; ... [Read the full story]

Today AppScout.com did a review on the best iPhone App Review sites. We are listed at the top. Yes! (insert Austin Powers voice over). To answer their question. I use Viddler because they allow me to link to the original file I uploaded where as Vimeo only allows you to download the file via. redirect. This does not work for a podcast. I will however be creating a Vimeo account and uploading all of the reviews to vimeo soon. Check out the review here as well as reviews of other App sites. a2a_linkname="App... [Read the full story]

If you would like to subscribe to the blog you can simply copy this link and add it to your RSS Feed Reader. Of course you may always subscribe to both to make sure you don’t miss any of the reviews or blogs that I send out. When I started this podcast I knew it would be a cool resource but I had no idea that in less then 30 days 1000 people would subscribe and over 10,000 people every day would be checking out my reviews on iTunes, Viddler, Youtube, and this website. Super exciting, and extremely humbling. Thank you to all of you for your support and feedback. Here you can see how my server was doing overall for the month. Notice how it went crazy toward the end. I had to add some RAM the other day because it was getting a little slow. I host with Liquidweb which is the best hosting company I have ever used. Here you can see how today went. I switched over to an Amazon S3 account to serve the media. The iPAP website is still hosted on my server. Notice how it drops off drastically. That was the hour that I uploaded the new feed that pointed everything at Amazon S3. So even... Well after looking through a ton of code I noticed that it was just some spacing that was causing the errors in two different files. I was able to fix the files and now there are no problems. If you have been visiting iPAP at all today you have probably seen a log of jumping around. For some reason I felt the need to edit the website live. No real issues other then a plugin that makes this theme run that is giving me crap. If you know anything about the Limit-Post plugin by Alfonso Sánchez-Paus Díaz and Julián Simón de Castro please let me know. The iPAP blog is founded on Wordpress 2.6 and there are errors happening because of the plugin. Nothing I can’t deal with, but it would be nice to fix them. None... [Read the full story]

If you have docked your phone more then then once in the last 2 days since updating to 2.0 you are probably sick and tired of how long it takes to back up your iPhone. I just docked my phone after installing four apps using the App Store on the iPhone. It took 8 minutes to back up, then it still had to copy the apps I downloaded. This is crazy.
